“Therefore, since we have this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart.” 2 Corinthians 4:1
doctor of ministry Thesis, luther seminary (2019)
Rev. Dr. Douglas Peterson
It was my privilege to pursue and earn a Doctor of Ministry degree in 2019 from Luther Seminary, St Paul, MN. The program focused on “Congregational Mission and Leadership.”
At the time, I was working as a hospice chaplain while also serving two VERY small ELCA congregations in western Montana. I began to understand how hospice interventions and principles were also applicable for pastors serving small or dying churches.
My hope in the coming years is to develop these resources as a way to support, equip, and encourage missional leaders in the changing, dying, and alway being made new church of the 21st century.
If you actually READ my paper, and if you actually QUOTE or USE my paper, I’d appreciate it if you:
let me know (it’ll make my day).
give me credit (I’m proud of my work).
Thanks, and God bless you!
