This Thursday May 13th we will enjoy one of the favorite Faith Walkers hikes to Murhut Falls up the Duckabush River. The hike is a 1.6 mile in & out hike with 250 feet of elevation gain on a well maintained trail. The 130 foot two-tiered waterfall is worth the challenge of a rough section of road to get to the trailhead We just need to to take it easy on the drive. A second walk will be to the the 200 foot horsetail Rock Brook falls 3 miles from Brinnon. It is an easy 1/4 mile walk from the trailhead.
For those still with us we will stop at the Whitney Gardens for their spectacular rhododendrons and azaleas which should be in full bloom.
We will leave the church at 9:00 a.m. sharp so be there a little early with your lunch and water. If you plan to meet us at the Duckabush River Road /Hwy 101 intersection at 10:00 a.m. let me know so we wont leave you behind. No parking pass is required for this outing. We will plan a brief potty stop at the Ranger Hole Cabin before we hit the trail.
